How the NCAA Tournament works. March Madness is a 68-team, single-elimination tournament that annually crowns college basketball’s NCAA Division 1 men’s national champion. The event is aptly named, considering it features a frenetic 67 games over a 19-day period. The participating schools are announced on “Selection Sunday”, along with the exact seeding and brackets. Sixty-eight (68) teams line up with a chance to win the national title. It is not just the best 68 teams from among the more than 350 teams that play Division I basketball, though. Teams are split into 32. But once the bracket is revealed, how - and even why - teams got in matters little, and the excitement of following your bracket begins. Select the teams you think will win each tournament game from the first.

Below you will find 2 different layouts for the 32 Team Seeded Bracket. The bracket in the first layout runs from left to right, and is available in both landscape and portrait layouts. The second layout runs from both directions, meeting up in the center. Both of these brackets work exactly the same, the appearance is the only difference.
